Senate Bill 396, which was approved by the General Assembly on 6/30/06, grants a post retirement increase to members of the State Employees Pension Plan, the Judicial Pension Plan, the New State Police Pension Plan, and the County/Municipal Police Pension Plan effective 7/1/06. As of 7/3/06, SB 396 is awaiting the Governor's signature.
This bill will provide post-retirement increases as follows:
*Employees retired before 7/1/05 will receive an increase of 2%.
*Employees retired before 1/1/81 will receive 2% or $25 per month, whatever is greater.

On April 24, 2006 Comprehensive Annual Pension Statements for the County/Municipal Police and Firefighter's Pension Plan, the County/Municipal General Employees' Pension Plan, and the Delaware Volunteer Firemen's Pension Plan were mailed.
The information contained in these statements is as of December 31, 2005. If you have any questions regarding data on the Annual Statement, please read the instructions in the respective box and forward the request to your organization's Human Resources Office or the Office of Pensions, as appropriate.
