Browser Instructions

Enabling Cookies on Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0

  1. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  3. Scroll down to the Security section, and look for the Cookies option.
    NOTE: If you do not see an option for cookies, double-click the Padlock icon next to Security.
  4. Click to check mark the box next to Always accept cookies.
    NOTE: If there is not an option for Always accept cookies, double- click on the cookies icon.
  5. Click OK.

Enabling Cookies on Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0

  1. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Click Custom Level.
  5. Scroll down to the Cookies section and select Enable.
  6. Click OK.

Enabling Cookies on Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.0

  1. Go to a non-LexisNexis website.
  2. Click Tools and select Internet Options from the menu.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Click the Advanced button.
  5. Click to check mark the box next to Override Automatic Cookie Handling.
  6. Click the Accept radio button under First-party Cookies.
  7. Click the Accept radio button under Third-party Cookies.
  8. Click to check mark the box next to Always Allow Session Cookies.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Close and reopen your browser to activate the changes.

Enabling Cookies on Netscape® Communicator / Navigator 4.0

  1. Click Edit and select Preferences on the Netscape menu bar.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Select Accept All Cookies.
  4. Click OK.

Enabling Cookies on Netscape® Communicator / Navigator 6.0

  1. Click Edit and then select Preferences on the Netscape menu bar.
  2. Select Privacy and Security, and select Cookies from the drop down menu.
  3. Select Enable all cookies.
  4. Click OK.

Enabling Cookies on America Online® 5.0 (32 bit)

  1. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Click Custom Level.
  5. Scroll down to the Cookies section and click Enable.
    NOTE: If you do not see an option for Enable, double-click on the cookies icon.
  6. Click OK.

Enabling Cookies on America Online® 6.0

  1. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Scroll down to the Cookies section and select Always Allow Session Cookies.
  6. Click OK.

Enabling Cookies on America Online® 7.0

  1. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Scroll down to the Cookies section and select Always Allow Session Cookies.
  6. Click OK.

Enabling Cookies on America Online® 8.0 & 9.0

  1. Close all browsers including AOL.
  2. Open Internet Explorer and choose a non-LexisNexis website.
  3. Click Tools and select Internet Options from the menu.
  4. Click the Privacy tab.
  5. Click the Advanced button.
  6. Click to check mark the box next to Override Automatic Cookie Handling.
  7. Click the Accept radio button under First-party Cookies.
  8. Click the Accept radio button under Third-party Cookies.
  9. Click to check mark the box next to Always Allow Session Cookies.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Close and reopen your browser to activate the changes.

Firefox

  1. Click Tools and select Options on the Firefox menu bar.
  2. Click the Privacy Icon on the option menu bar, to open the Privacy Properties.
  3. Click the Cache button to extend the Cache Properties.
  4. Click to check mark the box for Allow sites to set cookies.
  5. Click to remove the checkmark to disable the for the originating web site only option.
  6. Click the arrow to select until they expire in the Keep Cookies field.
    Note: If this option is already checked, close the window to accept the Cookies settings.
  7. Click Ok to return to the browser main page.
  8. Exit and relaunch the browser.
